For too long, wellbeing in events has been treated as an afterthought.
A breakout session.
A yoga class squeezed into the agenda.
Something “nice to have” if there’s time or budget left.
And let’s face it, that approach isn’t working anymore.
Because the way people experience events has changed. The pace is higher. The expectations are greater. And the need for moments to pause, reset and reconnect has never been more important.
That’s why, at Be In Your Element, we’ve shifted our focus.
We’re not just delivering wellbeing into events anymore. We’re working directly with venues to embed wellbeing into the fabric of the event experience from the very beginning.
Moving wellbeing from add-on to built-In
The biggest opportunity in our industry right now isn’t adding more content.
It’s changing how events feel. And venues play a huge role in that.
By partnering early, we’re able to design experiences where wellbeing isn’t something organisers have to think about later, it’s already part of the environment, the flow, and the offer.
At Sands End, in collaboration with Evolve Events, this looks like wellbeing being included as standard within delegate packages.
As Anna Peters from Evolve Events shares:
“When we began working with Sands End, we saw a real opportunity to bring that thinking into the venue itself rather than leaving wellbeing as an optional add-on.”
That shift matters.
Because when wellbeing is built in:
• It becomes accessible to everyone
• It removes friction for organisers
• And it changes the tone of the entire day
Designing venues that support people
We’re also working with venues who understand that sustainability isn’t just environmental, it’s human.
Rebecca Hurley at BMA House, this thinking is already embedded:
“We believe a truly sustainable venue must support wellbeing, inclusivity and a genuine sense of care for everyone who walks through the door.”
For us, this is where real progress is happening.
When venues start asking:
How do people feel when they’re here?
Where can they pause?
How do we support energy, not just agenda?
That’s when events start to shift.
Creating experiences people actually need
We’re seeing a clear demand for something different.
Spaces to slow down. Moments to breathe. Experiences that feel human.
As Tanya Billey from The Broadcaster puts it:
“More than ever, we’re seeing the demand for inclusive events that give us a chance to slow down, reflect, and reconnect.”
This isn’t about adding more. It’s about being more intentional with what’s already there.
Sometimes that’s a Wellness Lounge built into the flow of an event.
Sometimes it’s a simple reset moment in the middle of a busy agenda.
Sometimes it’s rethinking what a “break” actually looks like.
The shift we’re driving
This is the work we’re committed to.
Partnering with venues to:
• Design wellbeing into delegate experiences
• Create environments that support energy and connection
• Make it easier for organisers to prioritise people
• And ultimately, raise the standard of what events feel like
Because when you get it right, the impact is immediate.
People feel better. They engage more. They remember more. And that’s what makes an event truly successful.
What this means for event planners
If you’re planning an event, this shift changes things. It means you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. By choosing venues who are already thinking this way, and partners who can bring it to life, you can create experiences that feel intentional from the very start.
Not added on. Not forced in. But seamlessly part of the day.
Let’s build this in, not bolt it on
We’re proud to be working with venues who are rethinking what’s possible and prioritising human sustainability alongside everything else.
And we believe this is just the beginning.
If you’re a venue looking to evolve your offer, or an organiser wanting to create something that truly lands with your audience, we’d love to talk.
